1. Total cost of the Project

1.1. A Team led by Shri M. Shashidhar Reddy, MLA and Member (NDMA) visited the States of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Maharashtra and Gujarat in 2007-08 to give a final shape to their Investment Proposals on NCRMP. One point that came up from the presentations of Investment Proposals by States was that the funds proposed earlier for the implementation of the Investment Proposals under Component-B were too meager to cover the over all cyclone risks of the States and there was a general demand for the upward revision of allocation of funds and increase for the items. Accordingly, the States were requested to prioritize their Investment Proposals showing their fund requirement in phases and projecting the high priority requirements to be implemented under the current phase of the project. The total cost of the current phase of Project is indiacted in the table below:

2. Time Schedule

2.1. The project will be implemented over a period of 5 years starting from 2009-10. The year-wise break up and phases in which the project is to be implemented will be worked out in consultation with concerned Ministries/Departments, other agencies and State Governments.
